Footballer Mohamed Ihattaren is free again a day after his arrest. His lawyer Sander Janssen reports this via Twitter. Ihattaren, who was hired by Ajax this year, was arrested yesterday in his home in Utrecht on suspicion of serious threats.
According to Ihattaren’s lawyer, this is a case from “quite some time ago” that is still under investigation by the police. “Mohamed has made statements to the police about this and was released again today,” said Janssen.
“As widely reported in the media, Mohamed has had an eventful period in his life,” continues the lawyer. “He had found his way up again in recent weeks and will return to Italy as soon as possible to resume his training there. He hopes that he will be given the peace and opportunity to focus 100 percent on what matters to him It’s all about football.”
