Ukrainian Igor Gubin (35) has experienced the horror of war up close. He lost a cousin and several close friends to the violence. And in Irpin – a suburb of Kiev – a friend was raped and killed by Russian soldiers. As a single father, he wasn’t allowed to join the army, but he didn’t want to be left unemployed on the sidelines.
