Iggy Pop will continue to tour but will no longer stage dive. In an interview, the 75-year-old said he’s at his limit – but has no problem when visitors to his concerts throw themselves into the crowd.
Speaking to Billboard, the musician also said, “I’ve done about 40 shows in the last year, a couple of times I kind of fell into the audience and a couple of times I’ve walked around, but I prefer to stay on stage. Pop also admitted to not being of the age to crowd surf: “There’s too much wear and tear now. I would get hurt.”
Pop’s new album, Every Loser, is out January 6th. The record was co-written and produced with Andrew Watt. Among other things, Watt is known for his collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne.
