French Open winner Iga Swiatek canceled her participation in the WTA tournament in Berlin at short notice.
According to the organizers, the 21-year-old Pole is slowed down by a shoulder injury.
Immediately after her triumph in Paris on Saturday, Swiatek indicated that she wanted to take a break.
The top-class 500 tournament in Berlin from June 11th to 19th is about a total prize money of 757,000 US dollars.
It also serves to prepare for the grass classic in Wimbledon from June 27th.
