If you are late, you pay 500 euros per minute

He is known for his training methods: Felix Magath puts discipline first. Now he is said to have increased the fines for misconduct at the capital club – by a factor of ten of the current amount.

He lives up to his reputation as a “tough dog”, as Hertha managing director Fredi Bobic called him. As the new coach of the capital club, Felix Magath has revised the list of penalties. If a player is late, he now has to pay 500 instead of 50 euros per minute. This is reported by the “image”.

A delay of 10 minutes means that 5,000 euros would have to be paid into the team’s coffers – expensive fun for the players. And a crackdown that Magath had already announced at his club presentation.

Magath is probably acting according to a five-point plan

Magath said at the press conference last Monday: “Discipline is part of it. I’ve learned that it’s important to do it. I demand discipline for Hertha BSC. I don’t feel happy when I do that. The players have to understand that discipline is part of a team sport.” (Here you can read more about it.) The coach has now implemented a first measure in relation to this.

According to “Sport Bild”, the legendary coach follows a five-point plan to save the club from relegation. This probably includes discussions with all players and supervisors to identify problems. Subsequently, leading players should be worked out and the squad reduced. In the end, it’s about team cohesion through training camps and training times, which will only be announced at short notice so that the players don’t plan their free time too much in advance.

Tickets against Hoffenheim are half price

Hertha is currently on the penultimate place in the table with only 23 points. There hasn’t been a win for nine games. Magath’s task is clearly to stay up in the league. For Krassimir Balakow, only the ex-Schalke coach can achieve exactly that. “Felix Magath is the only one who can master such a hammer task. Who else would even accept such a job? Of course there are no guarantees. But if anyone can save Hertha, it’s him,” he told “Kicker”.

The club has to master the first task next weekend against TSG Hoffenheim. Then Magath will be on the sidelines in the Olympic Stadium for the first time at 3.30 p.m. (in the t-online live ticker). Fans can currently get tickets at half price on the Groupon website.
