In the same interview, Elba says that he never became an actor simply because there is a lack of diversity in the acting industry. Elba became an actor because he believed he was very good at it.
– When you get to the top, you will be asked how it feels to be the first black person to do this. I don’t want to be the first black person. I want to be the first Idris.
