When creating a site or a model, web developers use many icons, to the point that it sometimes becomes difficult to navigate. When looking for a certain icon, you can then quickly have to search the files on your computer, wasting a lot of time in the design of a project. Because Robin Philippe Thomas had the same problem every day, he developed Icon Shelf. It allows to manage icons to find them more easily.
All its icons at your fingertips
Icon Shelf is a tool that is already revolutionizing the daily life of many developers. It allows you to manage your icons, without having to search for long minutes throughout your computer. To do this, the platform has been simplified as much as possible, allowing you to find the one you want in a few clicks, in particular thanks to the search bar.

On Icon Shelf, it is possible to display all its icons to have an overview, or by collections to see them in detail. The user can create as many collections as he wishes and name them according to his current projects, such as “icons for my site” or “personal project”. By clicking on one of them, all the icons stored in this location will be displayed in the center.
Each of them is put in a small box with a rounded edge. By clicking on an icon, the details of these are displayed on the right: the format, the dimension and the last modifications made. With a simple right-click on the icon, it is possible to copy it in SVG and JSG, or as code to integrate it into your React, Vue, Svelte or Ember project. It will be necessary to carry out the same manipulation to delete it from its library.
Adding icons to Icon Shelf is also very simple. From Iconset, the user only has to drag the ones he wants to keep in his manager. The advantage is that the added elements will be visible with all his team, provided that we synchronize the tool with Github or Dropbox. Being free to download, all professionals will be able to take advantage of Iconset to work more efficiently, simply and quickly on each of their projects.
