In Haaksbergen they sound more hopeful. Mark van der Meijde of skating association IJSCH adds RTV East I’m looking forward to a scoop again, the last time was five years ago. Now the signs seem good: “We have already carefully extended the invitation,” says Van der Meijde. As far as Haaksbergen is concerned, Wednesday seems to be the marathon day. “We always drive in the evening. It seems to be getting too hot again on Thursday evening. So I think it will be a bend or crack on Wednesday.”
