USA scrape past embarrassment
The two-time title holder USA prevented an embarrassment in the 3:2 (0:1, 1:1, 1:0, 1:0) after extra time against Austria. Adam Gaudette from NHL-Club Ottawa Senators (49.) equalized for the favorites in the final third, 18-year-old Luke Hughes scored the winning goal after three minutes of extra time.
In Group B, Norway also won 4:3 (1:0, 2:0, 0:3, 0:0, 1:0 ) through.
