At the World Cup dress rehearsal last Tuesday in Munich, the Americans showed with a 6:3 win over the German team that they are a force to be reckoned with in the fight for the medals.

Canada starts weak but wins easily

In Group B in Riga, record world champions Canada had a little harder time. After a weak start, the team from the home country of ice hockey prevailed against newly promoted Slovenia 5:2 (0:1, 3:0, 2:1) and, like their neighbors, scored the maximum of six points after two games.
