For the first time since winning the opening game, champions Red Bull Munich are back at the top of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) table.
With a 4-0 (1-0, 1-0, 2-0) over the Iserlohn Roosters, the defending champions pushed the Kölner Haie (15) out of first place with 16 points. The KEC can hit back on Friday (7:30 p.m.) with a victory over the Eisbären Berlin.
In the third win in the third home game within five days, Nico Krämmer scored twice in the power play (20th minute/24th), Veit Oswald (47th) increased. Andreas Eder scored into an empty goal after the Roosters had removed the goalie in favor of a field player (59′).
Two days after the nasty home defeat against Berlin (2:8), Iserlohn defended itself with all its might, but again came away empty-handed and is second to last with six points.
