After two defeats, the Frankfurt Lions celebrated another victory against EHC Munich.

After two defeats last weekend, the Lions Frankfurt were able to celebrate another victory. Against EHC Munich, Chris Wilkie secured a 2:1 (0:0, 1:0, 0:1, 1:0) victory with his goal a few seconds after the start of overtime.

After a goalless first half, the Lions got off to a lightning start in the middle third: 15 seconds had been played when Ty Glover put the Hessians in the lead after a bad pass from Munich goalie Mathias Niederberger. This was followed by a real storm run by the Munich team, but Cody Brenner in the Löwen goal kept the box clean for a long time.

Decision in overtime

When the Frankfurt fans were already slowly looking towards the clock, the guests broke through again decisively. Maximilan Kastner maneuvered an arc lamp over the line to equalize. In overtime, the Lions switched gears again at lightning speed. Chris Wilke again only needed a few seconds to secure the extra point with his goal to make it 2-1.
