ERC Ingolstadt lost 2:3 (1:0, 0:0, 1:2, 0:0, 0:1) in the top game against third-place runner-up Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven on Thursday (December 12, 2024).
Ziga Jeglic scored the decisive goal in the penalty shootout to give the guests their fifth success in the last six league games.
Stachowiak saved Ingolstadt at least in extra time
Matthew Abt (46th) and Ross Mauermann (47th) brought the guests from Bremerhaven back into the game in the final third within 40 seconds of Ingolstadt’s lead through Myles Powell (18th).
Wojciech Stachowiak (50th) saved the hosts, who announced the contract extension with their Canadian defender Alex Breton before the start of the game, at least into extra time. Thanks to the one point gained, Ingolstadt is now three points ahead of the Eisbären Berlin – Bremerhaven remains third.
