EHC Munich remains the measure of all things in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL). In the top game at Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven, fourth in the table, the table leaders won 2:1 (0:0, 2:1, 0:0) and extended their winning streak in the league to three games.
In the table, the runner-up with 44 points is now seven points ahead of the closest pursuers ERC Ingolstadt and Adler Mannheim (both 37 points), who will play in a direct clash for second place on Friday (7.30 p.m. / MagentaSport).
Two days after the 1:5 swatter in the round of 16 first leg in the Champions Hockey League against the Swiss champions EV Zug, Benjamin Street (21st) gave the guests the lead. Ryan McKiernan (39) countered Niklas Andersen’s equalization (34′) with the 2-1 winner for Munich.
