Start of 2nd third
20.
20:11
Third conclusion:
After 20 minutes, EHC Red Bull Munich is behind 1-2 at home against the Straubing Tigers. The home team struggled at the beginning – but was also unlucky as they conceded their first goal shortly after a penalty expired. The champions continued to work as hard as they could and fought their way into the game and were rewarded with the equalizer. Munich’s efforts are also visible given the 15:8 shots on goal so far. But the guests, who were in good form, were simply smarter, took advantage of the opponents’ mistakes callously and acted more efficiently in front of the goal. So Lower Bavaria took the lead again.

7:19 p.m
Over the course of the season so far there have been clear relationships between the two teams, which can be seen as confirmation of the current table situation. Three games have already been played and all went to the Tigers. The Gäubodenstädter team won the encounter in Munich 4-2 on Boxing Day.
19:14
The Tigers are particularly strong when it comes to special teams, are number one in the league in penalty killing and are only trumped by Bremerhaven when it comes to power play. Munich has almost equally great qualities – as number two outnumbered. With more players on the ice, they are currently ranked fourth.
7:09 p.m
Straubing recently suffered two defeats while traveling in Frankfurt (2:3 after a penalty shootout) and Düsseldorf (3:5). The last win abroad came in mid-January in Wolfsburg (6:4). At home, the Tigers have not shown any weakness in three games recently, including beating Ingolstadt 4-2 on Sunday.
7:03 p.m
RB recently achieved two wins at home against Bremerhaven (4:2) and Cologne (3:2 after extra time). Before that, the last defeat was in their own stadium in mid-January against the Eisbären Berlin (4:6). Four of the last five home games were won. Most recently on Sunday in Mannheim, Munich lost 2:3.
18:56
Upside down world in Bavaria! The Red Bulls from Munich are not number one in the Free State; Straubing is currently two places better in third place. And the Tigers have an impressive nine points more. The cushion for direct entry into the playoff quarter-finals is ten points. On the other hand, the team from the state capital has to stretch itself in order to ultimately be among the top 6 in the league. The Munich team has a lot of competition breathing down their necks.
