Matt Donovan

Goal for the Adler Mannheim, 3:2 by Matt Donovan

The eagles are permanently in the opposing third. Then Matt Donovan just brings the disc from the blue line to the goal. In the case of the wrist shot, at most Maximilian Daubner is something in the field of vision of Mathias Niederberger, who nevertheless reaches past the game device and is caught on the catch hand side. The defender scored his fifth goal of the season. And there’s still a one and a half minute majority left.

17:33

Jordan Schwarz

Goal for the Adler Mannheim, 3:1 by Jordan Szwarz

The guests play it out in peace and quiet. Then Matt Donovan takes the measure in the middle of the blue line and nails the hard rubber to the left post. Jordan Szwarz is spot on with the rebound and puts the disc in the net. The striker scores for the sixth time this season. The penalty does not expire. Stay a good three minutes.

24

17:32

This gives the eagles the opportunity to maybe find their way into the game after all. In the majority, the Kurpfälzer in the majority are quite decent.

23

17:30

Chris DeSousa

Major penalty (5 minutes + game-misconduct penalty) for Chris DeSousa (EHC Munich)

When the umpires return to the ice, they award a five-minute plus game-misconduct penalty for an elbow check. The game is over for Chris DeSousa. Julian Lutz sits in the penalty box for the five minutes.

23

17:29

Then Nigel Dawes rises and is led upright off the ice. The referees watch the video again. It’s about the sentence.

23

17:28

Elbow first, Chris DeSousa goes to work on the gang against Nigel Dawes and knocks him to the ground. The Mannheimer lands hard on his back and remains dazed. While a pack of players forms, a supervisor is quickly at Dawes.

21

17:23

Yasin Ehliz

Goal for EHC Munich, 3:0 by Yasin Ehliz

In the middle of the blue line, Jonathon Blum doesn’t look for the end at all, he plays Yasin Ehliz, who lurks in front of the box on the left. The striker has a lot of space, can still get the goalie out and then push it in effortlessly. For Ehliz, this means the eleventh goal of the season. Nobody has more on the account at Red Bull.

21

17:23

For a minute and a half, the Munich team can still act outnumbered because Thomas Larkin is still in the penalty box.

Beginning of 2nd third

20

17:16

third conclusion:
After 20 minutes, EHC Red Bull Munich leads 2-0 against Adler Mannheim. After a balanced and relatively uneventful start, the home side suddenly took the lead and later benefited from Mannheim’s lack of discipline. Too often guest players ended up in the penalty box and offered the DEL’s best power play opportunities to really warm up. The Red Bulls struck in the third majority and, with a 15:5 shot on goal in front of 5,728 spectators in the Olympic ice rink, they deservedly lead.

20

17:02

Thomas Larkin

Minor penalty (2 minutes) for Thomas Larkin (Adler Mannheim)

Because of a hook near the gang against Julian Lutz, Thomas Larkin catches the next Mannheim penalty time.

19

17:01

David Wolf brings the disc back from the gang to Ryan MacInnis. This looks for Nico Krämmer on the left post, who holds the bat in, but does not accommodate the hard rubber in the goal.

17

17:00

Although the guests quickly find their way into the formation and spend a lot of time in the attacking zone, the best penalty-killing in the league does not cause serious problems. This is how the penalty expires. Yasin Ehliz returns.

15

16:55

Yasin Ehliz

Small penalty (2 minutes) for Yasin Ehliz (EHC Munich)

After hitting Thomas Larkin with a stick, Yasin Ehliz has to appear in the penalty box.

13.

16:52

Fredrik Tiffels

Goal for EHC Munich, 2-0 by Frederik Tiffels

The Red Bulls build up their power play with great skill. The disk is running. First, Frederik Tiffels claims the puck from behind the goal, then passes a right to Ben Street and runs into position himself. Andreas Eder then fires in the middle of the blue line. Tiffels cleverly holds out the bat and steers the thing into the box.

13.

16:51

Corbinian Holzer

Minor penalty (2 minutes) for Korbinian Holzer (Adler Mannheim)

From his own zone, Korbinian Holzer plays the disc over the Plexiglas and concedes two minutes because of a game delay.

9.

16:46

Nigel Dawes

Minor penalty (2 minutes) for Nigel Dawes (Adler Mannheim)

The Eagles had just survived the first man down when the referee’s arm went up again – again for tripping, this time by Nigel Dawes.

7.

16:41

Matt Donovan

Minor penalty (2 minutes) for Matt Donovan (Adler Mannheim)

The door to one of the penalty boxes opens for the first time. Mannheim’s Matt Donovan has to find himself there after tripping.

6.

16:39

Maximilian Daubner

Goal for EHC Munich, 1:0 by Maximilian Daubner

Justin Schütz and Ben Street prevail on the right of the gang. The latter then fits sharply into the middle. At the level of the second post, Maximilian Daubner throws himself into the cross with a long stick and maneuvers the little black dress into the box.

3.

16:31

By the way, Mathias Niederberger on the Munich side and Arno Tiefensee on the Mannheim side start between the posts.

2.

4:30 p.m

The referees Sean MacFarlane and Andris Ansons should ensure order on the ice.

16:15

The Red Bulls are also the measure of all things in other respects – including as the second-best face-off team. In the special teams, nobody can fool the runners-up, sometimes they are number one in the league. At least in terms of penalty killing, the Mannheimers are not that far away in second place.

16:09

In the top game, the leader has the table second as a guest. Munich are already 13 points ahead, but have also played two more games. Furthermore, the EHC knows how to convince with the best attack (95 goals this season) and the second best defense (60 goals conceded). At least the defense was affected, the eagles keep up very well with only two more goals.

3:50 p.m

Welcome to the German Ice Hockey League! The 29th match day will now continue with the encounter between EHC Red Bull Munich and Adler Mannheim. The first puck should fall on the ice at 4:30 p.m.
