After the last three wins in a row, the Adler Mannheim suffered a bankruptcy in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) against Schwenningen.
The table second from Mannheim lost at the start of the 47th game day in the DEL on Thursday evening (01/26/2023) against the Schwenninger Wild Wings at home with 0:3. Due to the surprising bankruptcy, Mannheim missed the opportunity to further reduce the gap to leaders Red Bull Munich.
Former Mannheimer Florian Elias (6th), Tyson Spink (39th) and Alexander Karachun (49th) scored for the visitors, who moved up two places to ninth in the race for a playoff spot. Mannheim is eleven points behind Munich.
