It is a golden October, as it is in the picture book. And that also pleases the operators of the ice cream parlors, who are currently making an unusually high autumn turnover.

Some sellers even want to extend the season. “We usually close in mid-November, but if this continues, we’ll do it until the end of November this year,” says Jana Iaccarino (52) from “Coco Beach” in Lichtenrade. Up to 30 percent more sales than in October of the previous year are expected here.
