“I wrote this song for Robbie Williams”: Ozark Henry honored in ‘Love of music’ | showbiz

TVOn Monday evening, Piet Goddaer – better known as Ozark Henry – took center stage in a new episode of ‘Love for music’. He was treated by the other candidates to new versions of his songs.

Koen Buyse van Zornik took care of the international hit single ‘Sweet Instigator’. That song has a special meaning for Piet: “I originally wrote this song to propose to my wife. We’ve been together for almost 30 years and we really are twins.”

Davina Michele caused a stir with her version of ‘Indian Summer’. “I was taken aback by it. The energy you’ve put into this song is just right. September is a great month for me. The holidays are over and life is getting back to normal. When I was younger, I used to play hooky all the time. Everyone went to work and I thought: I’m not participating today,” it sounded enthusiastically.

Margriet also chose a song from 2004. She wrote a new, Dutch-language text for ‘At Sea’ and gave it the title ‘Hier Komt De Zon’. “I haven’t been as nervous as I am now in all my life,” she announced.

CAMILLE immediately knew which song she wanted to sing: ‘I’m Your Sacrifice’, which Piet wrote when his daughter was just born. She poured the song in a Dutch jacket.

Suzan & Freek unleashed their magic on ‘This One’s For You’. “I had originally written it for Robbie Williams”, Piet revealed.

Pat Krimson and Loredana of 2 Fabiola chose ‘We Will Meet Again’, a song that Piet released at the beginning of the corona crisis. Loredana and Pat also set themselves an assignment when developing their song: “We need to be able to play this at the start of a 2 Fabiola show. It has to fit into those vibes.”

Finally, it was Piet’s turn. He chose the song ‘The End’ by The Doors.
