American actor Jeremy Renner got caught in an avalanche in January while rescuing his nephew. In a TV interview, Renner describes himself as a lucky man.

An actor known for Marvel’s Avengers movies Jeremy Renner had a serious accident on New Year’s Day while rescuing his nephew from the snowstorm. Renner tried to stop the driverless vehicle that had slipped on the snow, but when he climbed into the cab, the tracks pulled him under the machine.
Now 52-year-old Renner has sat down to be interviewed by Diane Sawyer and talked about his experiences in the program, which will be broadcast in the United States on Thursday evening.
– Would this be the end of me? No way! I decided to survive, he tells Sawyer.
Close to death
Renner, who was run over by a snow plow, broke more than 30 bones, in addition to which his lungs collapsed and his liver was torn. However, in a few months, Renner has experienced a real miracle recovery.
– When I look in the mirror, I see a lucky man, Renner says.
In addition to Renner, his loved ones and those who were the first to arrive at the scene of the accident also get to speak in the program.
– I already saw him lying in a pool of blood from afar. When I got to him, I didn’t think he was alive, Renner’s relative describes what he saw.
The emergency call recording shows Renner wailing in pain.
– That sounds like a person who is about to die, comments on the recording.
Renner says that he was conscious after the accident and remembers everything. After reaching the hospital, he had apologized to his family with a gesture. The memory moves Renner.
– I would do it again! Otherwise, the snow plow would have run over my nephew, Renner assures.
