Frans Bauer thinks Yvonne Coldeweijer’s father can be proud of what his daughter has achieved. “Well, super handsome. That girl is actually Private, Story, Weekend all in one!”
Yvonne Coldeweijer unmasks one celebrity after another as a slanderer, but at least one big star does not have to fear for her: Frans Bauer. She often cites the folk singer as an example of how things can be done and even has one three-part podcast series made about him, and in the last episode he himself speaks.
French does not follow
The 49-year-old Frans reveals that he does not actually follow the juice channels themselves. “Not if I’m honest. No, I don’t actually follow it either. I might live like some kind of mole. I’m either in the studio or I’m at home or I’m going to a gig or I have a concert and that’s what my life looks like.”
His wife Mariska Bauer does follow those channels, but neither of them fear the reporting from that angle. “No, what should I be afraid of then?”

Mark Koster, the co-host of Yvonne’s podcast, then: “Well, that they’re going to find something bad about you, maybe also spread inaccuracies about you, which is annoying.”
No, Frans is not afraid of that. “Yes, but well, that is something that is a hundred years old, of course. That is not only part of the juice channels. That’s been around for as long as the tabloids have existed.”

Doesn’t Frans find the juice channels more intense? “I don’t know, I don’t follow it that way. Then you should be with my wife more, she thinks that’s great. He knows exactly which pants you recommend and t-shirts, I understand. He knows you are pregnant. And I’m busy all day with that guitar and a horn. That’s just how it is. haha.”
He continues: “What should I think? It’s the new time. In the past you only had a CD and an LP. Now you have Spotify and channels like that. I also see it as a kind of innovation of the media.”
Proud of Yvonne
Frans thinks it’s great what someone like Yvonne has achieved. “When I look at it through my Bauer eyes, I think, yes, juice channels, it’s something new, it’s different.”
He concludes: “On the other hand, if I were to judge you, I would think to myself: well, super pretty, girl is actually Private, Story, Weekend, all in one. Has its own clothing store, does it well. Then I think: if I were your father, I would be proud of what you have achieved. That way I could also look at it.”
