Sadio Mané has arrived in Munich. Even if the ink on his contract isn’t dry yet, he’s already explaining why he chose FC Bayern.
Sadio Mané explained his move from Liverpool to Bayern with his gut feeling. “For me, the feeling was right when Bayern presented me with the plan. I found myself in Bayern’s plan,” said the 30-year-old in an interview with “Bild”.
Curious: Although the winger from Senegal completed his obligatory medical check-up in Munich today, Tuesday, he has not yet been officially introduced as a new Bayern player. Apparently, that doesn’t bother Mané, as he explains to “Bild” the reasons for the transfer to the Isar.
“When my advisor first told me about Bayern Munich’s interest, I was hooked,” said Mané, “I saw myself there straight away. It was the right club for me at the right time. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world and the team is always fighting for all the titles, so for me it was a very good idea and the right decision to come here.”
When asked about the possible farewell to Bayern world footballer Robert Lewandowski, Mané said tight-lipped: “I’m not a player who focuses on things like that. I’m here for Bayern.” His goal with Munich is to give everything to reach the final of the Champions League.
