“I want to throw a brick through your window!”

Maxime Meiland’s irritation factor is considerable, but her arch-enemy Caroline van Eeden is now also starting to get on her nerves. This has been popping up in every gossip magazine lately.

Caroline van Eeden was first the family friend of the Meilandjes, but now their arch enemy. She has published a book about what the TV family is like in real life and nowadays she appears in all the tabloids every week to add even more to that. She thinks very highly of it, and she makes no secret of it.

Brick through window

However, you can also go too far: Caroline now calls into the Party that she wants to throw a brick through Maxime Meiland’s window. “When I see Maxime’s face, I almost want to throw a brick through her window. Including the entire TV production team,” says the angry Chateau Meiland relic.

For that reason, she says she also avoids all episodes of the hit series on SBS 6. “It will be a nightmare for me. Really, I don’t care one bit. I haven’t watched the series for a long time, not even out of interest or curiosity.”

Numb

The entire Meiland family consists of terribly scary people, Caroline believes. Heartless too. “Are you familiar with the condition ‘Water around your heart’? That means you are numb and can turn off your emotions. The entire Meiland family seems to be affected by this.”

Caroline also fears a counterattack from the Meilandjes. “I am convinced that they will come up with something. Fine. Come on. I have doctor’s statements that I suffered Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD) from my stay with those people. But I am a very big girl of 62, who can bear life’s setbacks very well.”

Deeply ashamed

Maxime and Martien Meiland don’t believe that PTSD story at all, but Caroline says she has actually had therapy for it. “If you then have the nerve to laugh at me about it, and they did, then you should be deeply and deeply ashamed of yourself. In my opinion, the Meiland family has zero empathy.”

She concludes: “It is too scandalous for words how they have kicked me into the ground.”
