Singer and songwriter Anna Puu takes a stand on the Prime Minister’s “party commotion” on social media. In his publication, Puu reveals why that commotion was needed.
The uproar related to Prime Minister Sanna Marin started when a party video of her and several public figures leaked to the public from a private Instagram account. Marin’s actions raised a wide question whether the action is permissible in his position.
Both Marin and the people in the video have commented on the matter from their own perspectives. Now Anna Puu commented on the uproar, even though she did not appear in the videos.
– The more I read various comments regarding the leisure activities of our country’s prime minister, the better I understood why such a commotion was needed. Puu begins in his publication with a dim list of what a person should be and what should not be.
With his comment, he criticized how one person should represent everyone and at the same time everyone’s values in his profession, but also in his free time.
– On the basis of a couple of videos, in-depth analyzes of motherhood, femininity, being a spouse, work ability, state of mind are carried out, and all kinds of kitchen psychology are launched. Of course, it is characteristic of us humans, but it usually says more about our own character than the object being analyzed, Puu specifies in his publication.
After the videos came out, the Prime Minister received some comments about whether he is competent in his job or as a parent. On Friday, Marin held a press conference regarding the outcry and said she wanted to clear her reputation.
– Well, what is my analysis? That private videos of private accounts may not be published in the media. Private does not belong to others, unless the person concerned specifically wants to share it. And especially when nothing illegal happens in the videos, Puu takes a stand.
– Just as I wanted to share these pictures of my stuffed animal cuddling, I keep the party photos on my camera roll, Puu emphasizes.
At the end of the publication, he wishes patience for those who think that singing and dancing are forbidden by the prime minister. In his opinion, issues related to the culture of shame are unpleasant.
– Terrible cheers for those in the eye of the tornado. In the end, I would like to say that if you see a press conference on the subject somewhere, it’s worth watching! Puu commented at the end.
