Two great singers of their time found each other a good ten years ago.

The lost Tony Bennett’s and an unlikely friendship was seen between pop star Lady Gaga.
Lady Gaga was 25 years old when 85-year-old Tony Bennett asked Gaga to sing on his upcoming album Duets II (2011). The couple sang a musical classic The Lady Is a Tramp.
Bennett and Gaga enjoyed a collaboration that spawned a joint album. In the year 2014 Cheek to Cheek was released, and the album became one of the biggest successes of Bennett and Gaga’s career.

Before working with Bennett, however, Gaga was ripe for the music business.

In 2021, the pair released another duet album, Love for Sale. It was Bennett’s last album. At the time of that recording, he was already ill with Alzheimer’s disease. When the album was released, Bennett’s last concert was seen around it.

Bennett was already in poor shape at that point, but performing was in his blood. Whenever the music started, she knew exactly what to do, Gaga recalled a couple of years ago.
Bennett’s wife also agreed. She said at the time of announcing her Alzheimer’s diagnosis that she missed the man she fell in love with.
