“I see parallels with Reuzegom”: student club ZOV where student almost died during baptism is full of scions of industrialists and business families

“This should not have come to this.” This is how the members of the South-East Flemish student club react after a baptism in which a student had to be rushed to hospital. The student had a life-threatening amount of alcohol in his blood: 5.4 promille, or 25 glasses of beer. “For many of us, this evokes memories of the Reuzegom case,” says KU Leuven rector Luc Sels.
