In July musician Jan Rot heard that he was terminally ill. Since September 2021, he has been writing much-read and beloved columns about this phase in his life in our weekend magazine Mezza. On April 22, ‘Jan left life peacefully and full of love’, his wife wrote. Two days after his death, it turned out that he had written two last columns. This is the first of those two.
