THE Predators – broadcast tonight at 21.25 on rai 3 – is a 2020 comedy that marks thedirectorial and screenplay debut of Pietro Castellitto, which in this film is also actor. The protagonists are two families at the antipodes (a rich, of radical chic intellectuals, the other proletarian and uncultivated) that by mingling that they understand that their nature is not so different at the base, because they both hide secrets and deceptions. Both, in their own way, are predators, not victims. A subject that Castellitto transforms into a profound film, developed however with a register comic, sometimes grotesque.
The Predators: the plot
The two families in question are The Peacocks, intellectuals, rich, bourgeois, e the Vismara, proletarians, fascists and uncultivated. They represent the two faces of the Roman jungle. Pierpaolo Pavone (Massimo Popolizio), a respected doctor, he is married to Ludovica (Manuela Mandracchia), established and uncompromising director, but has a relationship with Gaia (Anita Caprioli), wife of his friend and colleague Bruno (Dario Cassini).
Federico (Pietro Castellitto), 25-year-old son of Pierpaolo And Ludovicais a passionate undergraduate student in Philosophy Friedrich Nietzschewhich is always overshadowed by a university baron. Then there are the Vismara: Claudio (Giorgio Montanini) who with his brother runs an armory and is part of a neo-fascist group.

The life of the two families is intertwined due to Federico. The university, in fact, one day, has a very strong quarrel with his prof. which prevents him from participating in the exhumation of the body of Nietzsche. The angry boy buys a bomb from the shop Claudio and uses it to destroy the tomb of Nietzsche.
At this point Flavio (Antonio Gerardi, L’Antonio Di Pietro from 1992), lo uncle of Claudiomakes his nephew reflect on the fact that the university boy will be arrested, but, being from a good family, he will be acquitted, and when he reveals where he bought the bomb, it will be them, the Vismara to end up in jail. Flavio then order a Claudio to kill Federico. A series of accidents and unforeseen events lead, however, Claudio to end up in jail anyway e Pierpaolo to suffer the insult of being dumped by the lover.
