Samra and Sido released a video single together on February 24th. “I Love You” is supposed to be a “hymn for all lovers”. It is the second musical meeting between the two Berliners, who worked together on Santos’ “Leere Hände” in 2021.

Although they are faces of different generations of German rap, they have proven in the past that there are overlaps in their hard-shell-soft-core images. Sido most recently with the introspective album PAUL, released in December 2022. Samra, for example, in February 2023 with his version of the Eminem track “Mockingbird”.

The video shows: The love that the two mean is not only romantic, physical and euphoric. It also means family feelings and includes problems, grief and hard times. Samra himself expresses the deep appreciation for his wife and, to a certain extent, catches up with the song, which he rarely says privately. Sido ties directly to the themes of PAUL, drug problems, self-doubt, fears. And the fact that he could not master them alone.

Samra was part of the All Together benefit concert on February 16, 2023 in aid of those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria since early February. On his Instagram account, he shared that the event raised over 340,000 euros.
