The blockade of distribution centers by angry farmers has led to empty shelves in supermarkets. Customers have misunderstood several times in recent days and one of them is a well-known Dutchman: Patty Brard. The television diva is quite upset and she notices that her support for the farmers is abruptly waning.

Drama for Patty

Patty had a really bad experience with shopping yesterday, she told the Shownieuws desk in the evening. “I can tell you: the vegetable jeweler didn’t have anything today, because that was my last step. After a few empty Coops I thought: well, then just ready meals at the vegetable jeweler.”

However, the vegetable jeweler also had nothing at all. “There were a few cooks in the kitchen: we don’t know what to cook! They also had nothing, no ingredients.”

‘It was so crazy’

Shownieuws then shows a compilation of empty supermarket shelves. Colleague Evert Sankrediets seriously: “When you see the images, it is really like you used to see the images from Poland.”

Patty also got sick of those empty shelves. “It was such a crazy sight. I did not know what I saw! It really was that you think… You have to understand, the penny has to drop.”

Done with it

It should be over now, says Patty. She’s done with it. “I think it misses the mark a bit.”

She continues: “I really understand their problems and that they are not heard, but if you yourself have been in a traffic jam for three days because everything is blocked and you cannot do your shopping, then I think: yes, guys, you have to be careful too.”
