Wolter Kroes has lost all respect for Ali B because of his role in the abuse scandal surrounding The Voice of Holland. “I had an incredible amount of respect for that man. He ruined that.”
Ali B turns out not to be such a nice guy as a lot of people thought until recently. In the Tim Hofman documentary about the abuse scandal surrounding The Voice, he is portrayed as a predator who surreptitiously invades the private sphere of young women and then abuses them. There are two rape charges against him.
Wolter destroys Ali
It is disgusting, responds Wolter Kroes in the weekly magazine Weekend. He was still in Ali B Op Volle Toeren a year and a half ago. “I had a really good time with him, but if you behave like that and if proven to do these kinds of actions, then you are worth nothing in my eyes. Then you screwed up yourself and you have to sit on the blisters.”
Wolter is extremely disappointed in Ali. “I really didn’t expect him to mess with candidates. (…) If it is proven, then he is no longer worth this profession and I don’t think he will come back. And that’s a good thing.”
cheater
The rape allegations against Ali B follow a period of rumors of infidelity. “He is a womanizer. If you hear that Ali has cheated on you a few times, you will be less surprised of course. But if you’re known, you’re not above everything and everyone,” said Wolter.
Apparently Ali thinks he can make anything, says the folk singer. “Some have that feeling because they are highly regarded.”
‘done with that man’
Wolter thinks Ali’s career is over. “If he has done it, then he will get his punishment and that man is done. His career is basically over anyway, because whatever comes out, he’s already been convicted. The damage is already done, he no longer has to walk down the street here. He has already been damaged too much in his name for that.”
“I had an incredible amount of respect for that man, he has worked his way up to an insane businessman and good artist, everything was right. He ruined all that. I have absolutely no respect for someone like that anymore.”
