Joris Linssen refuses to make a switch from the public broadcaster to SBS 6 or parent company Talpa. That is what the presenter, who was not asked for at all, says in Party.
Young viewers don’t actually know him, but Joris Linssen makes a very nice program for very old viewers: Hello Goodbye. And that is a great success in public broadcasting. “It is amazing that I have been a presenter for 21 years. That is very long for this profession,” he says in conversation with the Party.
Not to Talpa
Joris always takes into account that it can just end. “You have to be realistic, so I am ready for it to end at any moment. But as long as it goes, it goes.”
If the public broadcaster dumps him, John de Mol does not have to call him in any case. He can’t think of making Hello Goodbye for SBS 6. “No. I don’t see myself working for a commercial party either.”
NPO man
The idea of working for a commercial channel is disgusting to Joris. “Look: I have nothing against them being there, but I’m fine with the public broadcaster. I’m really a public broadcaster man. I’ve been working there for 26 years or so.”
Joris would like to stay with the NPO for a while. “Especially in this time of so much polarization, it is important that there is a good, strong public broadcaster that makes honest, genuine programs.”
