“I don’t want to see what Jere is like if he doesn’t win”

The wrapper is encouraged by a large group of loved ones in Liverpool.

One particularly close one is Käärijä’s brother, a photographer Mikke Pöyhönen.

– I am super proud of my brother. I got chills in the arena when Jere performed, Mikke tells Iltalehte in Käärijä’s sauna truck.

– But not all of this defines Jere as a person. And to me, Jere is always Jere, a broid, a dude from Vantaa.

Mikke names the best aspects of his brother as the way Käärijä cares and takes other people into account. An example of this was given after the semi-final, when Käärijä consoled the representatives of the Netherlands who were eliminated from the final.

– We have always had manners at home in an important position. Jere doesn’t take anything for granted either.

Losing is something that has always been difficult for Jerelle Mike.

– Whether it was hockey, yard games, card games. I don’t want to see what Jere is like if he doesn’t win here, Mikke laughs.
