“I don’t like rules – that’s why I love music production”

This year, for the first time, the Female* Producer Prize was awarded by Music Women* Germany in cooperation with Sony Music. The award aims to create visibility and support for female* producers and to give them space for further education. These include production grants and workshops with renowned producers such as MelBeatz. The five winners answered our questions in the RS interview.

Who is Novaa?

Novaa is not only successful with producing her own songs, but has also stood at the mixing desk for other well-known acts such as KeKe and LEA. As a mentor at the Female Producer Collective, she has been campaigning for more visibility for female* producers for a long time. In 2022 she was also honored as the best producer at the Pop Culture Awards.
