Sebastian Aho told on the Spittin’ Chiclets podcastthat he ended up with hockey Harry– in his father’s footsteps. Father played professionally in Luko when Sebastian was born in 1997.
Harri Aho also played in the league in KooKoo and Kärpi. In addition, the man played in Sweden’s first team in the ranks of Kiruna between 1994 and 1996.
– I loved watching when he played. After the winning game, he took me into the locker room. There is nothing better than that feeling after a winning game in the locker room, Sebastian Aho enthused in the podcast.
Today, the situation is the opposite. The father admires his son’s moves with a very close eye, even though Sebastian Aho has already played the last eight seasons on a different continent.
– I think he has watched all but one of my NHL games. And that one was missed because he was flying all the way over here to see me.
The activity requires quite a bit of passion from the father, because the NHL games usually start around two in the morning in Finland, and the man watches the matches live.
– I don’t know how he can do it. He always waits for my text after the game. He is definitely my biggest supporter and the biggest reason I even play hockey.
In the past, the father often gave instructions on what things Sebastian could do better in the game, but nowadays Harri’s father mostly supports his son and cheers him on.
– He was a defensive defender, so he can’t really tell me how to score goals, Aho joked.
