To give Bridget Maasland, of all people, the shivers, you have to come from a very good background. Leave that to Sylvie Meis… “So I really can’t look at her.”
Sylvie Meis is a really silly chick sometimes. She presented TV programs until a few years ago, but nowadays she only makes the news when her bags are stolen or she walks out of the ocean with a new multimillionaire. But what if you ask about it? Then she literally keeps her jaw tight.
‘What does Sylvie want?!’
Now Sylvie is again in a relationship with a demolition millionaire who, according to Yvonne Coldeweijer bad news is; something about aggression. She has now confirmed her newfound love, but a few weeks ago she acted really strange during an interview with the German media. After a question about that guy, she stood silently looking into the camera. Like some kind of alien.
Bridget Maasland speaks of an ‘awkward moment’. She wonders what exactly her fellow star wants. “Of course she had brought it out herself then, right? We saw images of them standing arm in arm at a concert,” said the presenter of RTL Boulevard The BLVD Podcast.
Glamorous laughter
If you are going to parade someone yourself, Bridget says it is logical that questions will arise. “She had posted on her Instagram that she was taking the boat to a very beautiful yacht and then people of course found out who owned that yacht and it was his, so she is giving all kinds of hints.”
She continues: “And when they ask: ‘What is it like in love?’, then we saw such a glamorous smile coming up and then crickets. Nothing at all! Just awkward. A minute! I just couldn’t watch that. Vicarious shame. Then just says, ‘Well, fine.’ Yes, done.”

Colleague Rob Goossens cannot follow it either. “Yes, I don’t understand what she has in mind, because I mean: she doesn’t have to share it all, but then again, don’t share it at all.”
He continues: “And if you think: yes, I want to have control over these kinds of things, I just want to post a video of that yacht on Instagram, but I don’t want to talk about it, then don’t go to places where you know people are going to ask questions.”
‘Exactly that!’
Bridget is getting a little tired of the German diva frau. “Exactly that. Of course there are always different paths. But of course, she has to know that all by herself. But, hahaha, it becomes such an awkward moment. That everyone had a little bit of that feeling.”
Colleague Luuk Ikink finds it particularly strange that Sylvie ‘announced her love with a photo on Instagram’ exactly a week after that interview. “Then I think: yes, why are you being so strange about it in an interview?”
