Aysal, who thanked the intense suggestions, demands and favors, said in a written statement, “I think that an interim approval and surveillance body should be established that will reflect the will and common mind of the general assembly once a year, instead of once a year. I do not believe that different results can be achieved without such structural reforms. I think it would be more appropriate for today’s realities for me to stay in the background and try to support my club with my knowledge and experience, instead of being a presidential candidate for the current situation,” he said.

Unal Aysal, who had been under pressure for a long time to nominate his candidacy, said his last word and stated that he did not aspire to the presidency. However, it was stated that one of the former presidents, Dursun Özbek, was determined not to be a candidate despite the insistence of the members.
