Relegated HZVV ends the season in style, you could say. The team from Hoogeveen lost 4-0 to SDV Barneveld, which, just like the red and white, no longer played for anything.
The loss was the eighteenth of the season in thirty games. HZVV drew six times and also won six times. One of those victories was booked last week against champion Eemdijk; it then became no less than 5-1 at home.
So there was some hope that the team of interim coach Jaap Scholing could close the four-year stay in the fourth division (previously under the name of the big league) with a win. But in Barneveld they came home from a rude awakening. SDV Barneveld, which was already safe, won 4-0.
HZVV started well in Gelderland, but after the break got the lid on the nose in the form of four goals.
