Hypebeast opens its first flagship in New York this week
The building in Manhattan’s Chinatown at 41 Division Street offers a total of 25,000 square feet of space over seven floors, the fashion platform said on Thursday. The building will house event spaces, the HBX store, a fashion retailer curated by Hypebeast, the Hypebeans café and an office space.
The HBX store will take up two floors of the building and will open on Friday. The store area relies on a dynamic concept that can be converted into an event location, a pop-up store or an exhibition with the neighboring inner courtyard. The Café Hypebeans will also be integrated into the area. 40 up-and-coming men’s and women’s fashion brands and lifestyle labels are placed on the second floor. Another area for pop-ups and other activities will be located on the third floor. The remaining floors serve as the headquarters for Hypebeast in North America, which employs 100 people.
