Hydrogen quiz in the former fish auction: at Sail you can see the future of the port

The knowledge of Sail visitors is tested in the Blue Port Centre: what do you know about hydrogen? The Province of North Holland presents plans for the Den Helder harbor in the building of the former fish auction. “Sustainability is the future.”

There is a car that runs on hydrogen in the building. People can take a seat in a simulation of that car to experience what it is like to drive a hydrogen-powered vehicle.

“We have to get rid of fossil fuels,” says Rosan Kocken of the province of North Holland. Hydrogen offers a suitable alternative, but, Kocken continues, “a lot of people don’t really know about it.” That is why the province is presenting a hydrogen quiz in the Blue Port Center. Kocken: “Focusing on sustainability also creates a lot of employment, but then people have to know that we are there.”

Sail offers the perfect opportunity to present the plans. The sun has broken through on the second day of the event and enthusiastic passers-by trickle in throughout the day, encouraged by the enthusiastic quizmasters.

The Blue Port Center can be visited until Sunday during Sail.
