On the last day of the transfer market, FC Groningen, the team of the Dutch premier league, announced that they had signed a loan agreement by Oliver Antman with.
Antman moves from Danish FC Nordsjaelland. The contract includes a clause for a permanent transfer to the green and whites. The Finn, who thrives as a winger, played a total of 66 matches in the Danish club, scoring nine goals and providing four assists that led to goals.
Last fall, Antman made his debut in the Finnish A national team and at the same time put on a one-man show by passing and scoring a goal against Montenegro. The young player has a total of three international matches in Huuhkaj.
Groningen’s sporting director Mark-Jan Fledderus says in the press release that the club pursued the Finn for months.
– Oliver has been at the forefront of our wishes, in terms of reinforcements at the head of the attack, since October last year. Oliver is a versatile fast forward. He can play in several positions and we believe he will bring immediate results to the team.
Results from Antman are really needed, because Groningen is the jumbo of the Eredivisie. The team has lost all of its games this year and is on a six-game losing streak in the main league.
A Huuhkajat representation has been seen in Groningen before. Was the captain of the national team for a long time Tim Sparv represented the club in 2010–2013.
