As the European Football Union (UEFA) also announced, alongside the 41-year-old from Bad Harzburg and the other female referees, Emikar Calderas Barrera from Venezuela will also be part of the EM team. The continental tournament will take place from July 6th to 31st this year.
In return, an as yet unnamed European referee crew will lead games at the Copa América Femenina in Colombia in July, the association said.

UEFA also announced that the video assistant will be used for the first time at a women’s European Championship. From Germany, the Bundesliga referees Christian Dingert and Harm Osmers are intended for video evidence.
