Hurry-Up wins squatter and maintains itself in BENE-League

HANDBALL – Hurry-Up will also play in the BENE-League after the summer. In the final round of the HandbalNL League, the Zwartemeerders managed to stay ahead of competitor Quintus: 29-35 (13-18).

Hurry-Up finishes fifth in the country with two points from ten matches. With a penalty of four points, it became exciting for the formation of Joop Fiege with three games to go.

In Kwinstheul it was sweating for the Zwartemeerders at 22-22. Quintus played with the knife between his teeth and sought support from the home crowd. Thanks in part to seven used penalty throws by René Jaspers, Hurry-Up managed to stay on the right side of the score.

“A combination of relief and joy,” says captain Bernie Vermeer after the hot hour in South Holland. “Relief, because we know how to maintain ourselves. Also joy, because you close the season with a win for so many accompanying fans.”
