Last weekend, the twin festivals Hurricane and Southside celebrated their comebacks “after” the corona pandemic, presented by MUSIKEXPRESS. And with great success: Around 150,000 visitors* were present at the two festivals in Scheeßel in Lower Saxony (Hurricane) and in Neuhausen ob Eck in Baden-Württemberg (Southside) every day and enjoyed the extensive line-up.
Stephan Thanscheidt, the CEO of the organizing company, is accordingly satisfied with the course of the two festivals:
“It is not a matter of course that events of this size go so smoothly after a two-year break. All of us on the team are passionate about our job and now we can finally do what we love again. Even in times of many uncertainties, we have worked hard to bring our festivals to the stages at a high level. Our acts and guests thanked us for this commitment. The cooperation between everyone involved and the visitor feedback were characterized by gratitude and euphoria – for the fact that our reunion was a complete success and that live culture is finally possible again”.
After the festival is before the festival. Ticket sales for Hurricane 2023 and Southside 2023, scheduled for June 16-18, 2023, will start on Tuesday, June 21st. Tickets are then available for the Hurricane from 189 euros and for the Southside from 199 euros on the relevant websites. The line-up for the two twin festivals next year has not yet been decided.
By the way, those who missed the Hurricane this year will soon have the opportunity to look up some concert highlights at Arte Concert. Many concerts from the Hurricane were broadcast live there at the weekend. You can find our photos and follow-up reports here.
