Hunkemöller: Reopening of Russian stores

Hunkemöller reopens its stores in Russia. The Dutch lingerie provider confirmed this when asked by FashionUnited. The specialist magazine RetailTrends had previously reported on it. However, the Russian online shop is still offline.

Like many fashion companies, Hunkemöller decided at the beginning of March to temporarily close its stores in response to the war in Ukraine. 17 locations in and around Moscow were affected.

In this context, however, Hunkemöller has not completely withdrawn from the country and is now reopening the stores. According to the company, the reason for the reopening is Russian legislation and the associated safety of employees.

The first Hunkemöller store opened in 2018 and was one of the most important expansion markets for the lingerie supplier the following year.
