Hundreds of Ukrainian refugees are trying to register in our country. As of today, this is possible in the new reception center at Paleis 8 in the Heysel. Oksana, who lives in Temse, went to pick up her family herself at the border with Poland. Alla and Kateryna come from Odesa and left everything behind: “Any moment the war could be upon us. We vibrate with every sound of explosions and you can never be sure that you will be unharmed”, Kateryna tells ‘VTM Nieuws’.
