Hundreds of thousands of ecstasy pills were found in a drug lab in a house on Bisschop Ophoviusstraat in Tilburg on Thursday afternoon. The pills were being produced in the house at the time officers raided. A 39-year-old resident has been arrested and remains in custody.
The house is located in the middle of a residential area. The production process was in full swing at the time of the raid. According to the police, the house contained ‘a large number of bags containing hundreds of thousands of ecstasy pills’.
“A gigantic amount. There was also a lot of MDMA, the active substance in ecstasy pills, present,” reads the police statement. The police are investigating further.
