After more than three years, Lady Gaga is back on stage in Germany – but only at one concert. Hundreds of fans besiege her hotel and hope for a brief meeting with her star.
They sing, wait hour after hour – and hope for a selfie with their superstar: on Saturday, hundreds of fans besieged the hotel where pop singer Lady Gaga is supposed to live before her only Germany concert in Düsseldorf.
The 36-year-old was not seen by the fans for the time being. But she should already be in town and rehearse in the Merkur-Spiel-Arena for her performance on Sunday evening (7.30 p.m.). The police tried to bring some order to the crowds in front of the luxury hotel on the Kö with barriers.
Lady Gaga starts her world tour “The Chromatica Ball” in Düsseldorf. Tens of thousands of fans are expected at the concert in the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. The focus should be on the songs from the sixth studio album “Chromatica” (2020). But the singer could also perform hits like “Poker Face” and “Paparazzi”. In addition to her hits, Lady Gaga is known for political statements, unusual costumes and provocative performances.

The American will be appearing in 17 other cities by mid-September. Stops are planned in Paris, Tokyo and New York. Lady Gaga made her last appearance in Germany in 2018 as part of the “Joanne World Tour” in Hamburg.
The artist is one of the most successful singers in the world. Her breakthrough came in 2008 with her debut album The Fame. Lady Gaga has also been seen on the cinema screen for several years, for example in the leading role in the drama “House of Gucci” (2021).
