Humberto Tan is not open to a cup of coffee with Johan Derksen. According to the RTL 4 star, this is not necessary, because the gentlemen do not argue with each other. “He just doesn’t like me.”
Johan Derksen has a number of people he always attacks in Today Inside and one of them is Humberto Tan. Yesterday too, the VI mustache was unleashed again on the presenter: “I am allergic to Humberto Tan. Everything that man does is exaggerated. Overly cheerful, overly sympathetic, overly gloomy. Everything exaggerated.”
“Is that what you’re calling for?!”
What does Humberto think? The 538 Morning Show calls him. “Is that what you’re calling me for?!”, he responds in surprise.
Morning DJ Tim Klijn: “Yes, but I’m just so curious: what happened here? I know you as a very nice guy, you don’t argue with anyone as far as I know. Where does this come from?”
Humberto: “I don’t know. You should ask him that. He’s been saying this for twenty years, so it’s not that new. He’s been allergic to me for twenty years.”
Nothing happened
Tim wonders what the history is. “But nothing ever happened between you?”
Humberto: “No. I have known him personally, but not for very long. I think I last saw him in… Well, that must have been at Talpa, in 2006 or so. Or 2007. Then at one point Talpa had the football and he did analyzes. I don’t even remember exactly, but I think we played football together. It has been almost twenty years since I last saw him.”
Cup of coffee
Tim wants to know what the next step is. “Shouldn’t you have a cup of coffee together?”
Humberto: “Me with him? Want a cup of coffee?”
Tim: “To speak it out.”
Humberto: “Yes, but I don’t have an argument with him or anything. He doesn’t like me. Yes, that’s allowed. I don’t mind at all if people don’t like me.”
To poop
Sidekick Rick Romijn doesn’t believe that. “No, Humberto, I don’t believe that. If Johan Derksen makes fun of you every time, then it’s just not fun. It seems like it’s a smear campaign.”
Humberto finally: “No, but listen: you know me. I try to gather people around me that make me happy. I try to gather effervescent tablets around me and not lozenges. This just costs energy!”
