Video viral
There is no video of a monstrous Matthijs going around at all. At least: no one else has seen it. The presenter of Sterren op het Doek claims that it is an intense fragment that was killed on the editing table of the DWDD documentary from 2015. A fragment why he broke off his friendship with Matthijs.
Now suddenly there is a TikTok video viral from a somewhat obnoxious Matthijs (see below). “Guys, we were waiting for another cartoon. Can I see him? Which start?!”, he says irritated. However, this has nothing to do with misconduct; at most it looks unpleasant. “Eus, darling, is this the video? 😴💤🥱,” Yvonne Coldeweijer wonders.
‘Eus didn’t know’
We don’t see any monstrous behavior in this video and moreover, this innocent fragment does come from that DWDD documentary from 2015. “I’ll tell you what happened here. Did Eus lie about a circulating video? No,” Yvonne writes on her juicechannel. “This is the video as Eus described it. Someone sent him this clip and said that the entire media world knows this video. 🤦♀️”
Özcan just really whipped this up, according to Yvonne. “He simply didn’t know that this was a clip from a documentary. But why did he exaggerate the content of this video so much at the table at VI? Of course he received a lot of criticism for continuing to defend his boyfriend Matthijs. But Eus is a follower.”
Weak excuse
Or a backstabber, as Evert Santegoeds calls him. Yvonne: “He preferred to go with the pack. Used this video as a lame excuse to ditch his friend. There is no other video. This is just it. And this is the true nature of Eus. With a friend like that you no longer need enemies.”
He concludes: “He will deny that it is about this video and wants to avoid this subject anyway, because he is ashamed that he has exaggerated this so much to throw his friend under the bus. He never thought he would fall through like this. What a shame.”
